FHa
The Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragon (FHa) is a non-profit organization that promotes R&D and innovation in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. It aims to foster hydrogen generation, storage, and use in energy and mobility, supporting decarbonization and industrial competitiveness. Backed by over 90 trustees and a multidisciplinary team, FHa leads strategic national and international projects.
Our role in the project
In the Hy2Market project, FHa will lead the deployment of a hydrogen bus pilot in Huesca to demonstrate the real-world viability of hydrogen-powered public transport. FHa will coordinate key stakeholders, adapt its hydrogen refuelling station, and oversee the operation and monitoring of the vehicle. The pilot will aim to validate hydrogen as a sustainable mobility solution, reduce emissions, and assess the potential for regional scale-up. FHa expects to generate valuable data, build public trust, and foster collaboration for future hydrogen initiatives.
Our impact within our region
Through its role in Hy2Market, FHa will reinforce Aragón’s positioning as a regional hub for hydrogen innovation by connecting local institutions, research centres, and industry players around a real-life use case. The project will foster institutional engagement, promote knowledge transfer, and provide a reference framework for future mobility policies. Additionally, the pilot will serve as a learning platform to train local stakeholders and support long-term adoption of hydrogen technologies.
