Hy2Market International Knowledge Exchange #5
The fifth round of the International Knowledge Exchange within the Hy2Market project will take place on Thursday, 23 April 2026 from 9:00–11:00 CET.
This session will focus on digital transformation in the hydrogen economy, exploring how digitalization can support the development of hydrogen systems across the entire value chain. As the hydrogen economy grows, from production and transport to industrial use, digital technologies are becoming increasingly important for managing complex systems, improving efficiency, and enabling smarter integration with renewable energy sources.
Key topics include:
• The role of digital solutions and data-driven approaches across the hydrogen value chain.
• Current developments and challenges in digitalizing hydrogen infrastructure and applications.
• Practical experiences and examples of digital tools supporting hydrogen projects.
• Opportunities for collaboration between the hydrogen and digital technology sectors.
Digitalization has the potential to act as a key enabler of the hydrogen economy by supporting cost reduction, improved safety, enhanced data transparency, optimized infrastructure, and better integration of renewable energy sources.
The session will feature contributions from David Schwarz (H2 Digital GmbH), Martin Bosque Morán and Victor Vieira (Signal Software S.L.), and Lukas Strohmeier (Delphi Data Labs GmbH), who will share their insights on digital solutions and applications in the hydrogen sector.
Programme overview:
• 09:00–09:05 – Welcome and introduction (Business Upper Austria)
• 09:05–09:30 – Experiences in digital market development for hydrogen – David Schwarz (H2 Digital GmbH)
• 09:30–09:40 – Q&A and discussion
• 09:40–10:05 – From prototype to product: The Hy2Market Digital Twin journey – Martin Bosque Morán & Victor Vieira (Signal Software S.L.)
• 10:05–10:15 – Q&A and discussion
• 10:15–10:40 – Role of digital solutions and data-based approaches along the hydrogen value chain – Lukas Strohmeier (Delphi Data Labs GmbH)
• 10:40–10:50 – Q&A and discussion
• 10:50–11:00 – Wrap-up, outlook, and closing
By bringing together stakeholders from industry, research, and the wider hydrogen community, this knowledge exchange aims to foster practical dialogue, share experiences, and identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
