Hy2Market final conference in Linz will open its results to Europe’s hydrogen community
Hy2Market holds its Final Conference at the Tabakfabrik Linz on 24–26 November 2026, planned in tandem with the H2 Convention taking place at the same venue on 25 and 26 November. The joint programme puts the results of nearly four years of work with ten European regions in front of industry, research institutions, infrastructure operators and policymakers.
Hy2Market contributes three sessions to the Convention programme: two break-out sessions and a set of five round tables where specific topics can be discussed in more detail. Upper Austria is one of the project’s ten regions, making it a perfect opportunity to showcase the project results to the local stakeholders.
Consortium meeting and site visit
The week opens with the consortium’s closing business: the general assembly, work-package reporting, and the synthesis work drawing ten regional pilots into a single set of findings on hydrogen utilisation in industry, best practice, industrial use cases, roll-out and business planning.
In the afternoon, partners visit the voestalpine site, covering the PEM electrolyser, a new compression and purification facility, a new truck loading facility, and work on methanation and e-methane usage.
H2 Convention Spotlight
Session 1 — Value Chain Development
Wednesday 25 November, 13:45–14:45
The first break-out session follows hydrogen along its full journey — production, transport, industrial use and mobility — through the organisations delivering it. It runs as an interactive case-study presentation on the economic development of hydrogen, with the audience engaged in the discussion throughout.

Session 2 — Stakeholder Debate

A panel drawn from industry, research, infrastructure and EU policy takes on the question of what it takes to scale hydrogen, working through the constraints that recur across the project’s regions: offtake certainty, grid and pipeline access, standardisation, and the distance between demonstration and bankability. The full panelist line-up is still to be confirmed.
Round-table sessions
Thursday 26 November, 13:30–14:15
Five round tables run in parallel, each hosted by the partners responsible for the work and centred on practical experience and best practice. Participants are welcome to move between tables during the session:

- Waste-to-hydrogen — NEC + MEDGREEN

The day concludes with the official LINZ AG dinner.
Attending
Linz is the final gathering of the Hy2Market consortium. The synthesis reports, the policy letter, the business plans for innovative solutions and the project’s wrap-up film all come together across these three days.
